In the 70th Assembly, District Part D, which is the community that we serve, 20% of our families are unemployed. Due to the Pandemic an unprecedented number of families in the District are facing difficult times. Did you know that Children who are read to at least three times a week by a family member are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading compared to children who are read to less than 3 times a week. Our club will be organizing a Get Ready For Summer Reading Book Giveaway on Saturday June 5th from 11am to 2pm at the Garden at 521 west 134th street between Broadway and Amsterdam Ave.
